Our client based in Maidenhead, Berkshire is looking for a Caseworker for the local Youth Offending Team, ready to start immediately.
Key Accountabilities:
- You will be responsible for a case-load of young offenders (approx. 15-20 cases at any one time) of mixed risk levels
- You will provide reports regarding the individual cases and attend meetings and reviews maintaining an accurate and timely record of individuals on the case-load, using both the case management system (YOIS) and any other form of recording used in that particular case
- Attend staff meetings and supervision sessions as required
- To comply with all RBWM and National Standards requirements related to work with young offenders and their families
- To work within the standards and expectations of the YOT manager
- To work 37 hours per week with an expectation that these may be required outside the normal working hours and could include some weekends
Requirements:
- Degree level education
- Experience working in the Youth Justice System
- Experience working with high risk young people
- Ability to engage difficult young people
- Good team player
- Ability to analyse and process assessments and information
- Full driving licence
- Access to a car during working hours
- Excellent timekeeping and organisational skills
- Report writing experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication
This position is a minimum of 37 hours per week but you will be expected to undertake more hours as necessary.
