About us
We are the nursing and midwifery regulator for England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Islands. We exist to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the public by setting standards for education, maintaining a register of nurses and midwives and investigating those individuals whose fitness to practise is called into question.
About the role
We are looking for an Investigation Manager to provide daily direction and management to NMC staff who are responsible for conducting the Fitness to Practise (FtP) investigations and case progression using the NMC Case Management System (CMS).
You will be responsible for the effective management of the investigations team and will ensure that they consistently deliver excellent customer service, meet key performance indicators and that the investigations satisfy the evidential requirements of the NMC legal team. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the NMC continually improves its investigations processes and procedures.
About you
You must be able to work within a complex regulatory framework. An ability to understand legal and procedural documentation is essential. You must be able to demonstrate strong people management, organisational and IT skills. Crucial to success in the role will be the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and tactfully with customers at all levels, both internally and externally. You must be able to deal with conflicting demands and prioritise the workload effectively.
