JOB PURPOSE:
To ensure that a clean, safe environment is maintained in the Youth Centre
MAIN DUTIES:

To be responsible for the operation of heating and lighting systems at the Centre together with the operation and basic maintenance of any other plant or machinery.
- To undertake repairs and maintenance within agreed skills range in accordance with the list of "minor Repairs and Maintenance".
- To monitor and record utility services and report to the Youth Worker.
- To report the need for PDL’s monitor such work and report to the Centre Support Assistant.
- To monitor and supervise cleaning staff and to ensure that standards laid down in the cleaning specifications are maintained.
- To be responsible for advising the Youth Worker on the ordering, monitoring and use of cleaning materials and equipment.
- To undertake porterage duties as required and to prepare furniture and equipment in readiness for user groups.
- To undertake cleaning duties as specified.
- To be responsible for ensuring that outside areas are clean, tidy and hazard free.
