Job Title: Staff Trainer : Health and Social Care

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear

Salary: 20,000 PA + dependant on experience

Our clients are seeking to appoint a highly professional and experienced Trainer to join their expanding and successful Health and Social Care team to deliver on a range of training requirements in line with the Workforce Learning Strategy. This role requires a proactive and flexible individual with ambition and a passion for people development along with an innovative and "can do" attitude and a desire to pass on knowledge within the Health & Social Care Sector.
The ideal candidate we are seeking is an experienced practitioner within the Health & Social Care Sector who is looking to advance their career in a training and development role. A broad knowledge and understanding of the Health and Social Care Sector including training needs within the NHS is essential.
You will be responsible for the design and implementation of the training programs based on both internal and external needs and undertake assessment and validation to ensure the workforce achieve the required knowledge, skills and competencies. You will be demonstrate evidence of professional development to keep up to date with changes in health and social care provision and be familiar with the use of e learning techniques.

In liaison with the Senior Management Team, you will identify the workforce needs and advise on appropriate qualification pathways. Through regular review visits you will support and mentor learners in meeting the qualification frameworks and compiling their evidence based portfolios and ensure that accurate training records are maintained for auditable purposes.

Working collaboratively with the Branch Managers, Clinical Nurse Lead and Head of HR the key elements of the role are to:

• Develop and implement an effective and innovative induction program
• Devise individual learning and development plans
• Produce training materials for in-house courses and source appropriate and recognised support resources
• Produce a range of effective assessment and validation tools
• Facilitate the delivery of effective ongoing training and development programs
• Monitor and review the progress of trainees through evaluation, performance review and discussions with managers
• Ensure compliance with statutory training requirements
• Evaluate training and development programs and use this information as necessary to inform change
• Support line managers to solve specific training problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups
• Ensure all training activities in line with budget allocation
