My client is looking for an experienced Head chef in canapés & events. Working for one of the big names in events catering you will be required to work hours as needed, average 173 hours per month with occasional overtime. Travel nationwide and abroad is expected due to client expectations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate chef looking for a hand’s on role and every day being different. This person needs to have experience of outside catering, not just banqueting. They need to have a proven record of leading/managing a team as well as building one. A proven record of achieving targets both financial as well as management. To be able to juggle a ‘million’ things at once, excellent prioritising skills, problem solving, be creative, excellent communication skills, hugely well organised, enthusiastic, self motivated, a thorough knowledge of food preparation techniques and finally be able to cook fabulously. This would suit someone who has travelled a lot, particularly in Asia / The East and enjoys creating ‘little mouthfuls of heaven’
Candidates must be of professional appearance as you will be front of house at times representing the company and will have a good eye for detail.
