Position available: CAD Designer

Job Description: The mechanical/electrical CAD designer will be responsible for the design of a internationally acclaimed product with a mechanical and electrical influence.

The  position will interface with product design and product management, test engineering, operations/production, and contract manufacturers for design compatibility with manufacturing processes.

Specific duties:

Responsibilities will include support of engineering, production, and document control. Specifically candidate will be responsible for and participate in the following activities:

1. Mechanical design

i) CAD using Solidworks & AutoCad

ii) Design of test and assembly fixtures for a production environment.

iii) Prototyping and analysis of designs through rapid prototyping.

2. Electrical & mechanical design and layout

3. Design, procurement and revision control for product assembly.

4. Support marketing and product management with concept drawings and creation/release of customer-viewable collateral material

5. Documentation and revision control of CAD designs and production drawings/instructions.

Job Qualifications:

The candidate will be well-versed in Mechanical & Electrical design and layout, and able to read schematics. The ideal candidate will be a strong self-motivated team player, well organized, and will have effective verbal and written communication skills.

Education/Experience:

The minimum requirements for this position are a Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or allied field, and three to five years experience. The ideal candidate will have work experience both in mechanical and electrical design.
