Direct Line Group is looking to hire a Team Leader for our newly created Buying Centre. This role will be based at our offices in Leeds, a short walk from Leeds station. The Buying Centre has been created due to our Separation from RBS Group, and this is a fantastic time to join our ever expanding Sourcing and Vendor Management function.
The Buying Centre Team will provide support to Direct Line Group wide users of the iProcurement purchasing system. The main duties of the Team Leader will include managing the team and workload associated with the overall objectives of the Buying Centre. These include but are not limited to; assisting users, maintenance of system data such as online catalogues, commodities and new supplier requests, including query management via the support mailbox and the conversion of requests into purchase orders.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the Buying Centre Team. Manage the workload and act as point of escalation where necessary.
- Provision of added value support to users including setting up users for the first time and use of/and giving advise on the capabilities of the system
- Resolution of iProcurement related problems and issues either directly from customers via support mailbox.
- Regular maintenance and updates to static system data and any associated documentation
- Effective liaison with other stakeholders involved in system support e.g. Payment Operations, Finance Systems, Various commercial teams
- To assist with user acceptance testing of roll-out and upgrades to Insurance purchasing and associated systems
- Work directly with the compliance manager and Tactical mid-range buyer to troubleshoot issues and drive compliance and best practice behaviours

Skills required:
- Knowledge of eProcurement systems an advantage but training will be given
- General purchase to pay process knowledge would be advantageous
- Experience of Customer Service role preferred, although not essential
- PC literate with good knowledge of the Office suite of software products
- Team management experience
- Experience of Oracle, SAP, Arriba or JD Edwards advantageous
