Looking for a new career with a Global company? We are offering one outstanding candidate the chance to be a Buyer - Dressings & Woundcare in our Supply Chain division based at our site in Normanton,West Yorkshire.
What are you accountable for achieving?
- Undertake market analysis to understand the size, technical and clinical trends, supplier base, market share etc to inform category and range management planning
- Responsible for delivering savings in line with and that exceed the corresponding workplan that underpin the savings target.
- Cost reduction throughout the supply base through strategic relationship building with Suppliers and working closely with internal departments to support the execution
- Working in line with the Libra Methodology unlock supply chain savings opportunities by advanced supplier engagement that result in cost reduction enabling customer saving opportunities to be realized.
- Develop detailed understanding of the clinical practices which drive product usage or influence the market
- Develop detailed product and market knowledge for a specific sub category or market area
What will you need as a successful Buyer?
- Structured thinking and planning
- Computer application proficiency - MS Word, Excel and Project
- OJEU process competency is desirable
- Financial knowledge - understanding of profit and loss statement, management accounts, margin, management, business plans
- Workshop and meeting facilitation
- Identifies key relationships to be managed for the effective delivery of the category plan.
- Understands the different approaches that can be taken. Acts proactively to manage stakeholders.
- Encourages openness and challenge to the status quo.
- MCIPS, either achieved or studying towards
