Avanti Recruitment are working with a leading software company based in Cirencester and are recruiting for a business objects developer to their development team. In this role you will work as an integrated part of the Development Team, and will work closely with the product team and the test team. You will work on the reporting solution for the product, and bespoke reporting solutions for clients.
Key duties and responsibilities
Analyse product documentation and attend design workshops to ensure a thorough understanding of the business and technical requirements.
Gather and document new reporting requirements to a good standard.
Develop reporting solutions for the Learning Management System, using Business Objects Web Intelligence and Crystal Reports.
Develop bespoke Business Objects reporting solutions for clients.
Attend client consultancy meetings.
Technical skills
The following skills/experience is necessary:
Report development using Business Objects Web Intelligence (Business Objects Enterprise XI R2 or later) or Crystal reports experience.
Universe development using Business Objects Designer.
Experience of using the Business Objects CMC for user, folder and universe administration.
Development of T-SQL procedures using SQL Server 2005 or later.
Experience of writing and tuning SQL statements for fast performance over large datasets.
Compensation
Base Salary Range: 25-30k
Bonus: Up to 10% of base salary, based on end of year profits.
Death-in-service: 4 x salary
Benefits: 25 days holidays (excluding public holidays)
