The Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to play a key role in the continued success of one their "flagship" business units based south of Birmingham. Reporting to the General Manager, the key challenge will be to lead, manage and develop a business unit of circa 80, through a team of direct reports, which include Sales, Operations, Quality and Engineering disciplines, to new levels of performance and success. This includes taking direct responsibility for the management and development of a portfolio of demanding "blue chip" key accounts within the Industrial, Petrochemical and Medical sectors.

The Candidate

With a good degree, preferably in an engineering or materials discipline, you will have a successful track record of optimising production, quality and site profitability by demonstrating exceptional leadership and motivational skills that ensures outstanding results from a multi-disciplined team. The ideal candidate will be a proven, hands-on, commercially orientated Operations or Business Manager, well used to developing and implementing strategic business plans. With direct exposure to one or more of the key sectors, you must have the genuine desire and capability to make the career move into a General Management or larger role over the next two years.
