Job Description
The Business Intelligence Designer will be responsible for architecting and implementing complex, enterprise wide solutions and diagnosing and solving issues with such environments. They will support the Business Intelligence Manager and other team leaders in identifying areas that would benefit from the application of design, technical and process standards with an emphasis on ETL, data Warehousing, dimensional data modelling and reporting applications. They will also be required to provide assistance with hands on technical work and be pro-active in identifying opportunities to improve and rationalise applications.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have an in depth understanding of Agile methodologies, standards and process implementation and have proven physical database design and development experience with one or more major RDBMS. They will also need to have substantial experience of dimensional and data modelling as well as data warehouse and ETL design. Previous experience of working with infrastructure teams for the design and implementation of technical architectures is required for this role as is experience of integrating and supporting systems using structured methods.
