Coming from a user-centred design and usability research background, our client has developed a feature-rich, cost-effective SaaS solution for online UX research and testing. Thanks to this, customers are able to save significant money and time on research. An opportunity has now arisen for a Business Development Manager to join their team.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue by selling our client's software solutions. You will drive new business initiatives including prospecting target customers, working closely with marketing to drive new leads and using sales and marketing tools to identify new opportunities.
Displaying your expertise in online user research, you will generate new business by educating potential customers about the products and the value that they bring through a consultative sales approach.
Working from our client's plush Wilmslow offices, you will understand UX teams and profiles enabling you to effectively navigate large enterprises and connect with high-level decision makers.
Your other duties will include:
- Co-ordinating and conducting sales presentations
- Drafting proposals
- Maintaining a sales pipeline
- Managing an accurate sales forecast
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Experience of selling software as a service within a UX and UI environment, ideally B2B sales
- Experience of working with user experience, usability, customer experience or consumer insight technology
As a Business Development Manager, you must be a team player with drive and entrepreneurial spirit. A strong communicator, you will display strategic intellect and outstanding social skills.
Experience of working with UX management, UX research or UX strategy technology would be beneficial to your application, as would a professional services background.
The ideal candidate will also have a large network of UX and marketing contacts within Global 2000 enterprises from which they can 'hit the ground running'. The ability to leverage these pre-existing candidates would also be highly favourable.
