My client is seeking experienced an experienced BDE to work in their Commercial Insurance department. The role will involve the introduction and development of Commercial Insurance business including Liability, Motor Fleet, Commercial Combined, Commercial Vehicle and Taxi Insurance.

Job Description
Objectives:
Achieving the required operational targets in respect of Sales, Renewals and Adjustments for the relevant products. These targets will include volume of premium transactions, customer satisfaction levels, and document turnaround times.
The provision of the relevant statistics and their presentation to Management complete with analysis in monthly reports or as required.
Operations Activity :
• Dealing with Renewals for the relevant products, referring to senior colleagues, experts or insurers when issues fall outside own experience and knowledge
• Producing New Business Accounts for the relevant products, referring to senior colleagues, experts or insurers when issues fall outside own experience and knowledge
• Assessing and Surveying of Risks as required and the preparation of submissions to insurers for quotation
• The monthly consultation with the Commercial Insurance Director to discuss Customer Service standards and production of an agreed action plan
• Ensuring that all communications with customers are accurately recorded in line with the Company’s Procedures Manual
• The update and maintenance of training records
• The regular use of Broker Assess (in line with the requirements set down by the Commercial Insurance Director)
• Liaising with Claims Handlers/Loss Adjusters when required
• The observance of company compliance procedures
• Resolution of complaints from customers and the handling of complaints in line with the company complaints process
General :
• The setting of standards in conjunction with the Commercial Insurance Director
• Communicating with colleagues on a regular basis on all matters pertinent to ensuring the efficient and effective development of the department
• Undertaking other duties as assigned by the Commercial Insurance Director and the Partners.
Person Specification
All applicants are required to have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Business Development role selling Commercial Insurance.
Also, you must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, including English and Maths.
Candidates without the relevant experience and qualifications will not be considered.
