Business Development Director - Finland
thebigword Group is a world-leading International language management group supplying translation, interpreting and language technology services to a wide range of global clients across 77 countries including household-name multinationals and public-sector bodies. With a growth of 40% every year for the past 3 years, we require a highly motivated Business Development Director to join our European sales team in Finland.

The person we are looking for needs to be passionate about success - someone that will go that extra mile to ensure we meet our objectives through great customer service. You would need to be able to build good relationship - with long-standing customer's of ours as well as new ones. Your ability to listen to our customers’ needs and convert this into solutions that provide benefits to our customers will be highly important. You enjoy international team work and are familiar with the language industry.
The Business Development Director will identify new business development opportunities and also maximise sales revenue by implementing effective strategies to maintain and grow existing business.
Key Responsibilities;
- Develop existing key strategic accounts and formulating account growth plans
- Contributing to the global bid process as and when required
- Achieve budgets, targets, activity levels, as agreed with Regional Sales Director
- Provide performance and forecast information to inform and direct sales strategy
- Develop relationships and providing a high standard of customer service and support
- Generate new business development opportunities
- Responsible for developing effective relationships with internal departments to meet client needs

- Proven experience of operating at each stage of the full sales life-cycle
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Building effective relationships
- Proven experience of business development within the language or related services industry
- Effective presentation skills
- Account mapping, planning and management
- Degree - Bachelor/Masters
- Years of experience: +3
- Languages: English and Finnish (both fluent)
