A leading Insurer in the Leeds area is currently looking for a Business Developer.
Job Description
This is an external sales role building lasting relationships and developing profitable business with an agreed panel of challenging and strategically important intermediaries (Brokers) to make a significant contribution to the trading results of the branch.
Duties Include:
Building strong external and internal relationships at a variety of levels.
Acquiring and developing profitable business by discovering and converting business opportunities.
Utilising negotiation skills to work with brokers to achieve profitable growth and retention of existing business.
Utilising key account management techniques.
Monitoring the performance of brokers on the panel reporting monthly on target.
Responsible for all aspects of territory/account/client management.
Understanding and communicating company strategy.
Person Specification
Commercial lines experience.
Previous experience of dealing in an intermediated environment is preferable.
ACII qualified or making progress towards.
A Full clean UK driving licence is essential
The successful candidate will be a good communicator with enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
Demonstrates assertiveness and resilience.
Ability to demonstrate strong negotiation/persuasion skills and time management.
Ability to motivate others to win for you.
