Job Description

The Investments Business Analyst will interact with end users (Retail & Wealth , Corporate, Customer Service Group & Back Office, IT Ops, Finance, Treasury, Credit & Investments, equity brokers, Compliance, Risks, Foreign Entities), to understand their needs and translate them into information systems and projects that will fulfil the Company’s business requirements.
Systems can be provided by external parties (vendors or other Company entities) or can be developed under his / her Manager’s direction. The Business Analyst will establish general and detailed specifications and validate them with both the users and the other IT areas (in particular with developers & IT Operation analysts). He / she will seek the asset’s owner validation before initiating any development or move to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and analysis for applications and interface (internally and through vendors).
• General & detailed functional specifications writing, review and assessment.
• Writing Request for Changes, Release Notes and tracing execution.
• Participate in project plan design and project team organization.
• Selection (RFP) and management of various vendors related to application delivery.
• Application deliverable tracking and quality assessment, provide all needed methods and tools to help validation by asset’s owners (Capability Maturity Model).
• Act as a second level support for problems related to Back Office and Front Office issues.

Person Specification

Technical, Language and other Specialised Skills:

• Experience in Markets and Investments.
• Experience in Banking Treasury and Investments Packages (Finacle) parameter set-up & development.
• Experience with clearing and settlements technologies (SWIFT,SEPA, Target II).
• Experience with Financial packages and reporting tools.
• Experience with Workflow and document management systems.
• Good knowledge in investment banking or wealth management and European banking regulations / clearing / payment systems.
• Expertise in process design & functional analysis.
• Application design and programming: UML, 3rd & 4th generation languages, Database systems (Oracle or MSSQL), .COM, J2EE Application Servers & n-tiers application architecture understanding.
• Project delivery methodology and project planning (phases, resources and workload estimates).
• High level of English language.
• Knowledge of basic Unix / Linux operations is a plus.

Work Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of functional direct retail analysis and design, preferably in a financial / bank environment.
• Candidates may be from an IT or Treasury or Investments origin.
