Job Description
You will be fully involved in budget preparation, subsequent monitoring of that budget and monthly accounts closure.
The role encompasses the provision of accounting and financial advice, including training, to devolved budget holders, heads of departments and divisions.
Main responsibilities
Budget monitoring and budget setting to provide advice to budget holders on Budget monitoring, reviewing and procedures to ensure that expenditure is as close to budget as possible
Undertake preparation and calculation of all non-staffing aspects of the annual revenue budget
Liaising with staff to ensure budget completeness and accuracy
Preparation of the monthly management accounts to include the reporting of variances upwards of possible issues which need to be raised with accountancy manager and/or head of finance & logistics
Assistance with the implementation of procedures to ensure mitigation of any impact finance variances could have.
Detailed budget monitoring of all areas to ensure that revenue spend is reported accurately and in a timely manner
Raising of such sales invoices as may be necessary when monitoring these particular areas
