To contribute to the creation and development of the Tetley's brand Strategy (within overall commercial framework) and deliver profitable brand growth.
To develop and implement 'best in class’ consumer marketing activity across the full marketing mix.
The brand manager must be the champion, representative and focal point for Tetley's & Holsten brand activity within Carlsberg UK & drive momentum and focus on the brand to enable it to 'punch above its weight'.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Strategic and operational brand planning in order to deliver commercial and brand objectives. This will ensure alignment between brand and corporate objectives.
- Commercial Management to ensure alignment between brand and corporate objectives which will optimise elements of brand P&L to ensure achievement of brand objectives
- Communication Development targeted to consumers and trade to achieve campaign and brand objectives
- Category Development, Identify trends opportunities for brand exploitation. This will help to inform brand objectives and realize commercial opportunities
- Design & Development ensures consistency and suitability of brand presentation across all touchpoints. This will achieve brand objectives e.g. cost reductions, improved standout and appeal
JOB DIMENSIONS
- Financial Responsibility for Tetley's & Holsten Brand P&L; volume and GBC
- Responsibility for Tetley and Holsten Brand marketing budget
- Sign off of brand activity within agreed limit
- Staff - Direct reports None
- Staff - Indirect reports No indirect reports but cross-functional stakeholder engagement & management as well as the ability to quickly build strong Internal relationships is crucial to this role
- Other Agency relationships
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE
Knowledge
- Degree educated
- Preferably marketing/business degree or CIM qualification
Skills
- PC literate - especially Microsoft Office
- Strong verbal, numerical and presentation skills
Experience-
- Experience of working in a commercial marketing environment
- Ability to demonstrate strong relationship building skills, high level influencing and stakeholder management
- Ability to demonstrate use of consumer and commercial insight to inform and achieve brand objectives
- Self-motivated and sets high standards for self and others
- Open to challenge and to challenge other (often more experienced) personnel
- Deliver all or part of commercial / brand marketing plans - can demonstrate ownership and success.
