BRANCH MANAGER - AUTOMOTIVE PARTS, ABERDEEN

Our client is a leading organisation within the motor industry and one of the UK’s largest independent suppliers of high quality automotive aftermarket products to independent garages and national brands.  They are seeking a commercially adept Branch Manager to work at their Aberdeen branch which is one of the largest branches throughout their network.  

This is an important role with lots of responsibility and as a Branch Manager you must be able to lead and develop a team to grow sales, improve service levels, and cultivate customer relationships to the highest level. As an experienced people manager and inspirational leader in a similar trade or retail organisation, you will have recent accountability for the delivery of P&L, as well as experience in managing inventory.  

With a customer service ethic, you will be able to demonstrate how you’ve implemented or embedded a service culture in your business.    As a natural team coach with the energy and ability to keep morale up, you’ll always be looking for how you can develop and grow your people, and be able to demonstrate how you have done this.

This fantastic company is wholly focussed on growth, so in addition to operational management ability, you must also have been responsible for personally driving sales, visiting customers, and being “at the coalface” to achieve sales, margin and market share – we are not looking for backseat drivers.

You will have a high quality product, support from a regional hub management team, and team of field based sales people, in addition to a suite of KPIs to help you manage the business at its most effective.

Automotive sector experience would be desirable, however it is not essential.  For the role of Branch Manager all applicants must have clear abilities in:
* P&L management
* Driving a sales culture
* Sales and territory planning
* Stock/Inventory management
* Excellent people skills
* Operational leadership/coaching/management
* Supporting continuous improvement of people and operational excellence

You will receive a basic salary of 30K + depending on the skills you bring, plus a branch bonus, company car and a fuel card for business use.
