Our client, a household name whose brand is engrained through the gambling and betting industry are currently recruiting for a dynamic Customer Behaviour Analyst, with an ambition to play a key role in the development of an industry leading Business Intelligence team.

The successful candidate will report to the Business Intelligence Manager, and be expected to work closely with the business to design and develop prototype statistical data mining solutions and algorithms using the Microsoft BI technology stack. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity where the successful BI Analyst will take on responsibilities such as:

• Demonstrating and sharing an understanding of how customers think and behave in different situations
• Designing scenario’s to predict customer behaviour and using the subsequent data to identify patterns and metrics
• Developing prototype predictive models that can demonstrate accuracy and reliability and be embedded into business processes by colleagues
• Becoming the main company expert on data mining and algorithms used for clustering, association, classification and time series analysis
• Creating specifications for the BI team in order to automate rules, metrics, algorithms and customer segments
• Working with business domain experts to identify targets and implement specialised solutions
• Testing and signing off Automated Solutions
• Reviewing, refining and constantly improving metrics and algorithms
• Identifying data quality issues and working with colleagues to implement solutions

• Experience in a similar role
• A degree level qualification in Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science, Social Psychology or similar, specializing in Data Mining
• Extensive data mining and statistical research skills utilizing large data sets
• Experience of using Microsoft SQL server and SQL to explore data
• A passion for exploring and analysing customer behaviour
• Experience with machine learning and knowledge discovery techniques
• An understanding and experience of using Analysis Methods such as CRISP-DM is an advantage
• Experience using dimensional modelling is an advantage
