Job Purpose

• To provide an efficient and courteous food and beverage distribution service to patients, visitors and staff.
  
  Accountabilities/Activities
• Prepare patients trays for meal and beverage service.
• Re-stock pantry of items required.
• Distribute menus to patients, visitors etc, as required.
• Receives instructions, requests etc and acts upon or refers to kitchen as necessary.
• Collects trays, trolleys, dirty crockery, cutlery etc from patients rooms and returns to pantry/kitchen areas.
• Ensures all records are kept in respect of items consumed, drink etc for which charges are to be raised.
• Logs temperature control of refrigerators.
• Distributes wines, spirits, and beverages as required and as instructed.
• Performs daily cleaning of the pantry area, reports any faults or breakages of equipment.
• Complies with obligations in respect of Health and Safety at Work Legislation, Fire Policy, Catering Legislation, and Infection Control Procedures and performs other relevant duties as
  required.
• Adhering to the Hospital chosen Quality system
  
  Working hours: Occasional shifts to suit business needs
  
  Location: Spire Wellesley Hospital, Southend on Sea
  
  Who we are looking for
• Staff will have training for the Basic Hygiene Course and Infection Control and be updated at regular intervals. No specific qualifications are required as training will be given.
