Snr Avionics Technician Falkland Islands
We wish to appoint a Senior Technician Avionics, to support the delivery of the Search and Rescue unit based in the Falkland Islands. This is a tax free post (subject to UK laws) with a 2 months on 1 month off shift pattern, proving free food and accomadation and air bus facility to/from the UK. Your role will be to provide Sea King helicopter maintenance and additional technical support to the main client.
Engineering
1.Undertake aircraft maintenance within trade as tasked by the Shift Supervisor.
2.Operation and maintenance of aircraft ground support equipment
3.Preparation of aircraft for road or air transportation
4.Maintenance in support of storage tasks
5.Other engineering tasks in support of the SAR operation as directed by the Shift Supervisor
6.Aircraft washing and cleaning
7.Carry out independent inspections
8.Determine the level of flight servicing required after maintenance
Flight Line Operations
1.Aircraft movement and handling
2.Aircraft marshalling
3.Preparation of aircraft for flight and security of aircraft after flight.
4.FOD clearance and dispersal area security checks
Qualifications and Experience
•Accredited Aircraft Apprenticeship, Service equivalent trade training, NVQ level 3 or equivalent, which demonstrates the practical and theoretical standards required.
•Appropriate Sea King trade group courses
•Full driving license
•Aircraft engineering including one year in a supervisory position
•MOD aircraft engineering procedures.
