Audit Manager, Isle of Man
A leading accountancy firm is seeking an Audit Manager to join their office and work with both local and international businesses.
• The candidate should have strong project management skills. Be able to adapt and work effectively in a variety of situations, with various individuals and groups, often to tight deadlines.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Have good organisational skills. Be able to establish clear and orderly systems.
• Demonstrate good business development skills by being able to identify all opportunities to provide valuable information or services to the client.
• Have experience of producing audit files to a high standard
• Have a good working knowledge of all significant requirements of auditing, ethical and accounting standards without needing to refer to the standards themselves.
• Have a good knowledge of audit techniques to suggest how each requirement of standards can be met effectively and efficiently.
• Demonstrate creativity in meeting objectives by applying a wide variety of audit techniques.
• Be able to review files effectively and efficiently for the effectiveness of the work.
• Be able to use judgement in accordance with current best professional practice by drawing on a wide experience of businesses and of assurance and advisory work.
• Have experience of managing audit teams to ensure an efficient approach, staff development and good use of skills and resources.
• Brief the engagement team, distinguishing critical matters from other matters.
• Take effective action to improve others’ skills and talents.
• Direct other team members as to what needs to be done and ensure compliance with those directions.
• Provide technical support for junior staff.
Package:
• Base salary from £40,000 per annum.
