Associate Accountant

Our Client a leading manufacturer of precision parts for the Oil & Gas Industry are looking for a new member to ad to their Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a University degree and be working towards futher qualifications. Candidates from a strong accounting background will also be considered.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

• Prepare Revenue billings, deferrals and accruals.
• Preparing monthly Accounts Receivable and Psl Revenue reports.
• Assisting with Accounts Receivable collection – in conjunction with CFS – as required.
• Preparing monthly SOX (Revenue recognition) reports – handling SOX audits and external audits.
• Controlling monthly entries and reports for Deferred revenues and costs – including Versaflex.
• Preparing and posting General Ledger journals – revenue accruals, interco cost recoveries, and various reclass /corrections as required.
• Controlling Fixed Assets – including FA counts.
• Assisting with SAP Accounting month end close as required.
• Assisting with other Accounting functions as required

Experience Knowledge and Skills:

Accounting degree or similar would be desirable plus:

• SAP knowledge desirable however training will be provided
• Good working knowledge of Excel
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Must be reliable with a conscientious and professional attitude.
• Attention to detail is critical.
• The ability to meet deadlines is important. Occasional overtime/weekend working may be required to meet month end deadlines.
