Assistant Room Leader 3-5s Room

A Vacancy for an assistant Room Manager has arisen for a nursery nurse with a wealth of experience to join the Pre-school room of a fantastic nursery in Basingstoke.

As an Assistant Room Leader you will be required to work closely with Room Leader to ensure the room is effectively managed. This will require stepping up when the Room Leader is not present.

The Pre-school plays an integral part of preparing the children for school so you must be extremely fluent on the EYFS and be able to plan activities which will make the transition to pre-school as smooth as possible for the children.

Some of your responsibilities as an Assistant Room leader will include:

• To ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment
• To lead your team in order for them to plan, prepare and review the curriculum as a team reflective of the EYFS
• To work in partnership with the parents
• To follow and implement all the policies and procedures set out by the nursery
• To be able and willing to assume Room Leader responsibility when the Room Leader is absent.

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

• Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent
• Have a wealth of experience of working with children
• Working knowledge of the EYFS
