Job Description

As the Assistant Procurement Manager you will be responsible for managing local, regional and global commercial/contract negotiations as well as aligning the procurement strategies and procedures across the different market areas in order to leverage the company’s buying power and improve share holder value. Responsible for the sourcing of Marketing/HR/Professional products & services, you will conduct and oversee sourcing and acquisition activities in order to bring about savings and value for money in these areas. Monitoring market trends will help you to build strong relationships with key suppliers and be able to negotiate optimum prices and minimise risk as well an ensure compliance. You will work alongside other Asia Pacific countries to share best practices and ensure all operating businesses have common procurement procedures and policies. As an innovative and creative individual you will continually monitor and analyze past performance in order to recommend ways to improve efficiencies in the future.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be degree educated in Business, Finance, Marketing, Law or IT. Candidates will have gained at least 5+ years purchasing/procurement experience with a minimum of 2 years at supervisor level. Ideal candidates will have strong experience in contract management, negotiation and relationship building. Candidates who have sourcing experience in HR/Professional/Marketing services are highly desired. Candidates who have previous experience within large high-volume companies are highly desired. Candidates must have excellent business acumen as well as exceptional presentation and influencing skills. Strong numerical and problem solving skills will be key to success in this role. Candidates must have excellent spoken and written English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
