My client, the UK’s largest independent supplier of hair and beauty products to the trade, is looking for a customer focused Deputy Manager for their store in Derry.  This is a family-run business that was established well over 50 years ago.  It has built its great reputation on the quality of its staff and the excellent service provided to customers.  

Reporting to the Store Manager, responsibilities will include:

• Helping to motivate, lead and guide your in-store team
• Staff training and development, ensuring that your team is fully up-to-speed re new products, promotions and incentives
• Driving sales in order to meet targets
• Staff rotas
• Business development within your area
• Accurately forecasting stock requirements and trends within your store
• Understanding your customer demographic
• Ensuring that store visual merchandising standards are maintained
• Stock transfer/control/takes
• All matters relating to security and health & safety within the store
• Branch admin

The ideal candidate will have a positive and enthusiastic attitude.  You’ll need to be a highly proficient people-manager who can motivate, lead and inspire your team.  Prior experience of the health and beauty sector would be highly advantageous but is not essential: previous retail management/ supervisory experience and an impressive track record is more important.  A full UK driving licence is essential.
