Job Description
Reed Social Care are currently recruiting a RMN for an assistant manager position for a large national client based on the outskirts of Caerphilly Town Centre.
You will be supporting the Registered Home Manager in all aspects of the homes care management and will be in complete charge when the manager is unavailable.
The duties below are not exhaustive and may be altered at any time to reflect the changing needs of the service and client group
*Ensuring that a high standard of direct nursing and residential care to residents based on their care needs
*Marketing the home and showing prospective residents and families the home
*Care out care plans for residents
*Ensure continuous evaluation of the quality of care given and re assessment of the need of residents
*Consult with residents, their relatives and care team to achieve planned goals.
*Undertake staff supervisions
* Ensure the ordering, administration and control of drugs and medicines is accordance with N.M.C guidelines and the homes policy.
* Deal with Complaints and carry out investigations as requested
* Assist in the day to day management of the home
Person Specification
The ideally applicant will be
* RMN Qualified
* Have recent relevant experience in a senior nursing role
* Knowledge of the care sector and understanding of the care home regulations
* Ability to take responsibility
* Ability to develop, monitor and nurture positive nursing care practice
* Self motivated, organised, caring and flexible
* Hold a full, current driving licence with access to own vehicle
* Committed to high standards
* Committed to training and developing their knowledge base
