I am currently looking to recruit an Assistant Director of Engineering for a 5* Luxury hotel in Central London. This role requires an individual who is comfortable working in a 5* luxury environment who will be motivated to provide an exceptional level of customer service, driven by guest-expectations and the highest quality of service delivery. With this in mind, experience as an Engineering Leader, Manager or Director in a 5* hotel or private luxury residence is absolutely essential.
While naturally this list is not comprehensive, and duties of the role will change in line with the running of a dynamic hospitality business, the duties of the role will include the following:
- Supervising & participating in the installation, maintenance & repair of hotel machinery & related systems & equipment.
- Implementing repair & preventive maintenance schedules for the property, relevant plant & other user facilities.
- Developing & implementing expenditure reduction, simplification of work methods & techniques & programmes of improvement.
- Executing new projects - particularly the planning and costing of these.
- Contributing towards the production of the Property & Maintenance budget
- Preparing the Engineering department training plan.
- Chairing meetings with team members
- Controlling maintenance contracts.
- Taking accountability for Fire, Health& Safety procedures and activities.
- Assisting with energy conservation plans and making sure that the hotel remains a "Green" environment
The ideal candidate will hold relevant Electrical or Mechanical Qualifications and will have experience performing a similar role within a 5* hotel or perhaps a private luxury estate. This person will also have strong team-management skills as well as being IT literate with the ability to record-keep and file reports as necessary.
It would be preferential for the ideal candidate to have experience with PPM and to have a Health & Safety qualification or certainly experience overseeing Health & Safety within their career history.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to commence as soon as the right individual is found.
An attractive package of salary and benefits, negotiable dependant on experience, is available for the right candidate.
For more information, please apply in the strictest of confidence and provided that your application matches the essential criteria listed, we will call you to discuss the process further.
