Assistant Commercial Manager, 25-30K, Catterick Garrison
Strong commercial experience in construction, property maintenance or a related field is essential.
Key Objectives
- Provide, monitor and develop cost models for managing all works, staff and overhead.
- Develop cost models for managing all works, staff, and overheads.
- Provide risk analysis of contract conditions, costs, sub-contracts and commercial implications of any changes agreed with clients.
- Assist in preparation of the Joint Equality of Information Pricing Statement.
- Assist in preparation and agreement of Cost Allocation Statement.
- Provide advice and guidance to staff in the preparation and presentation of works proposals, reviews and updates.
- Attend meetings, provide reports and liaise with all stakeholders on commercial matters.
- Create, maintain and develop systems for the timely reporting of KPIs and financial indicators to highlight possible abatements.
- Ensure all appropriate insurances are in place, managed and maintained and any claims responded to promptly.
- Implementation of a system for controlling, monitoring and reporting costs, timely preparation and presentation of requests for milestone payments, produce internal financial reports, budgets, forecasts, quotations and accounts information.
- Ensure that in accordance with the Contract Conditions, expenditure and income are protected at all times.
- Responsibility for all commercial aspects of sub-contracts from tender enquiry through to final account and supervision of major purchase orders.
- Assist and support other ad-hoc operational and commercial matters as required on an as instructed basis, undertaking other duties and responsibilities as determined by the Commercial Director.
- Any other duty commensurate with the position.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications Required
Essential
- Strong commercial experience in construction, property maintenance or related field.
- Degree qualified or relevant skills / experience.
- Excellent working knowledge of commercial procedures.
- Good knowledge and experience of working within strict ISO 9000 policies and processes.
- Full driving licence
Desirable
- Experience of managing housing maintenance services.
- Experience of operating in a military environment.
