ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT

This established and respected Group of three companies is seeking an Assistant Accountant in a newly structured role to report to the Financial Controller. 

The role is likely to suit an AAT with previous practical experience who can assist the FC in a number of different day to day accounting areas. These would include bank reconciliations, payroll, purchase and sales ledgers and assistance with the monthly accounting pack. Excel skills and previous experience of payroll would be two important aspects and any knowledge of invoice discounting would be useful.

It is expected that the position would eventually develop into a Assistant FC role with responsibility for such areas as the fixed asset register and complete responsibility for a subsidiary’s accounts.

In short, the role offers a great opportunity for a candidate to gain further experience and develop their career under the guidance of a Qualified ACCA.
