Assistant Accountant

Based in Bishop's Stortford my client requires an Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic finance department on an ongoing temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent role in future.  The ideal candidate will be a strong all rounder who is flexible in their attitude and progressive in their nature.

Duties of the role will include:

• General nominal ledger assistance, purchase ledger, sales ledger.
• VAT returns
• Bank reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• EC sales listings
• Accruals and prepayments
• Intrastat
• Ad hoc analysis

Excellent Excel skills will also be an advantage, ideally to include v lookup and pivot tables.

The ideal candidate will be AAT part qualified/qualified and or studying towards the early stages of ACCA/CIMA. 

Due to the temporary nature of this role, you will be required to be available immediately or at short notice.
