Training organisation in Cardiff is seeking an Assessor who is A1 qualified to join them on a permanent basis. Your role will be to carry out assessment on Work Based Learning programmes as part of the team in the Children & Young People sectors.
To support the business objectives of Fix Training and promote the values and quality standards of the organisation by providing learner centred, holistic assessment practice.
Key Accountabilities:
Learner Support
·To fully understand the NVQ/QCF National Standards for the NVQ/QCF qualifications being assessed and be aware of the differences between the levels.
·To be able to interpret the knowledge requirements in ways that are appropriate to candidates at all levels.
·To be able to assess by direct observation of the candidates’ practice as specified by the Evidence Requirements.
·To conduct monthly reviews with learners to chart progress and develop learning strategies to aid learner progression.
·To holistically assess and monitor learners against QCF criteria.
·To understand and deliver assessment of Essential Skills Wales within sector frameworks.
·To ensure that all learners are given fair access to assessment.
·To show respect to people from different backgrounds and support the full embedding of all Equal Opportunities policies.
·To demonstrate full compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
·Contribute to and develop high quality learning materials for learners.
·Maintain product and service knowledge
·Contribute to the achievement business objectives
Team Support
·Contribute to company quality management systems, quality awards, self-assessment cycle and quality development plans.
·Prepare materials for and contribute to standardisation meetings.
·To liaise with the centre co-ordinator and Lead Internal Verifier as appropriate.
·To prepare evidence for inspection by the External Verifier and meet when required.
·To fully participate in and contribute to team and operational meetings.
·To ensure all relevant learner and company paperwork is completed accurately and promptly.
·Identify business development opportunities and work with colleagues to maximise these opportunities.
