Job Description
As the Strategic Sourcing Manager you will be fully responsible for developing sourcing strategies for products, supporting strategic investments, product development and OEM projects as well as establishing supplier performance evaluation criteria. You will be responsible for designing criteria for vendor evaluations in order to establish a preferred supplier list and conduct factory audits and surveys to monitor vendor performance. Focus on optimising margin contributions and company supplier base. With excellent analytical skills you will be able to analyse technical specifications, project scope and manage end to end project sourcing. Managing and building strong relationships with key suppliers will enable you to source quality materials and negotiate optimum prices and contracts. Continually review processes in order to identify and implement process improvements.
Requirements:
Candidates will be degree educated in engineering or technical equivalent. Must have a minimum of 8 years working experience in sourcing and project management preferably in technology/automotive/HVAC industries. Candidates must have an excellent understanding of technical areas including; sensors, valves, controls and installation work. Proven track record in conducting preferred supplier programmes and vendor evaluations. Candidates must have excellent analytical, project sourcing and contract management skills. Excellent negotiation skills as well as strong attention to detail and strong business acumen are essential. Must be fluent in English & Mandarin with working experience in China preferred.
