Area Manager with a Leisure / Pub Background

My client, a large nationally based facilities services organisation, is seeking an Area Manager to expand the business and offer it's services to organisations in new geographical areas with a view to expand its contract client base.

As well as having a background in hard and soft facilities services, the ideal candidate will also have a proven sales and business development skill-set which will enable the company to expand its business base nationally. The marketing department will assist in passing on leads, and setting up sales meetings with prospective clients.

Duties will include:
oArranging and attending sales meetings and finding new sales leads and opportunities in various areas
oConducting and managing the whole sales process
oBuilding the company and area manager profile within your community
oStaff and contractor Management: Building and managing the cleaning and contractor team
oStaff and contractor recruitment
oBuilding and maintaining relationships
oOverseeing and approving contracts
oUpselling products and services
oClient liaison
oSourcing and managing various local suppliers for further services such as recycling, window cleaning, etc.
oOperation management
oAdministration management

Within this role the Area Manager will be solely accountable for the Profit and Loss in your client base and area
