A fantastic opportunity to work for this large multi-national expanding business as an Area Manager. This is a commission-led sales focused role so offers great earning potential. Multi-site experience is essential for this position.

The Company:

Our client is a well established retailer, who target the middle of the market with their product range, ensuring a wide target audience and a higher footfall in their stores.

Job Role - Area Manager - Leading Non Food Retailer:

  • To monitor sales performance of all stores and staff under their control.
  • To identify opportunities to increase sales opportunities within each store.
  • To produce information on sales performance within their area.
  • To take corrective action with underperforming staff and managers.
  • Monitor the costs of sales in their respective areas and by individual stores using margin performance.
  • Coach managers / staff on sales increases.
  • Monitor sales and KPI performance in all stores under your control.
  • To ensure all of their stores adhere to company merchandising principles.
  • To make changes to range plan by taking corrective action on non-selling lines.
  • To ensure the company promotional activity has been accurately implemented following receipt of the promotional bulleting or newsletter.
  • Nominate a store and provide your model store standard for your area.
  • To ensure general housekeeping and hygiene standards are met as per company standards.
  • To ensure everyone reporting to you has a good understanding of their job role.
  • Review all managers and key personnel performance on a regular basis.
  • Review sales staff performance during store visits.
  • Monitor customer contacts using selling retail programme.
  • Follow up with all stores who have problems with customer service issues.
