As a result of continued growth and success, we are seeking an Architectural and Engineering Business Development Lead for our Alexandria, VA Office. The key objective of this role will be to significantly grow our business through engagement with existing clients and developing new key clients locally across Maryland and Virginia, specifically in the construction management sectors of the architecture and/or engineering industries.

Typical duties and responsibilities include:

  • Utilizes existing professional contacts, association networking, and sector expertise to grow our exisiting client service offering as well as gaining new clients/accounts. Maintains/enhances territorial contact network (both public and private) through regular calls and/or visits to lead locals sales efforts.
  • Provides measurable business development support to the Alexandria office and/or DC Metro area working with Service Heads. Provides input to marketing and technical groups on marketing and sales plans. This includes recommendations for sales targets, participation in specific conferences, promotional literature, and/or unique client relationships.
  • Develops and implements business development plans and activities working with Service Heads. Develops and implements territorial sales plans consistent with marketing plans, assisting in achieving sales targets. Plays a major role in work selection.
  • Identifies new markets and opportunities. Participates in the development, planning, and implementation of public relations programs; develops press releases and participates in selective industry associations and community/civi activities in a leadership role.

Job Details

In order to support the significant groth projected for this office in the next three years, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Extensive business development experience and a proven track record in the Government, Hospitality, Healthcare, Manufacturing and Commercial sectors.
  • Proven knowledge of the DC Metro market and surrounding area, including an established network of contacts in the industry vital to developing and maintaining accounts.
  • Extensive experience working with the local A/E community.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Administration plus 10 years relevant experience.
  • Licensed Engineers and Architects strongly encouraged to apply.
