Application Developer

My client, a prestigious North East creative agency, is looking to recruit an Application Developer with a strong background in .NET development on a permanent basis.  Due to the nature of the business, the role will be challenging and varied with an opportunity to be involved in a range of projects.

The candidate will be required to undertake tasks including:-
* integrations of .NET applications with data sources and front-end development
* working as part of a project team in the development phase of a project
* testing work to ensure that all work produces adheres to internal and external development standards
* involvement in team discussions to identify design solutions
* coding clearly and maintaining consistency
* staying abreast of emerging techniques in application development
* working with other departments within a project team to provide advice and direction which ensures the quality of a product

The candidate should have technical skills including:-

XHTML
SQL Server
ASP.NET
C#
Web Services OOP
Unit Testing XML
Knowledge of Quality Assurance processes and methodology
Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines and to manage time appropriately
Experience of authoring technical specification documents such as functional specifications
Some commercial Application Development experience, preferably in an agency environment
