YR Free is a young and dynamic company developing a mobile platform which enables the streaming of LIVE video. This is a system which "enables Content Generation, management, analytics and reporting" and is targeted at the B2B market including Emergency Service, Insurance and Security services.

The ideal applicant will have

  • At least 3 years’ mobile software development experience
  • Significant recent experience in Android application development

Skillset Requirements:

  • Experience in Java and JNI development for Android using Eclipse
  • Experience targeting multiple Android devices, both phones and tablets, from multiple manufacturers and across all OS versions
  • Experience with HTTP and REST web services
  • Skilled in the whole software development lifecycle, from analysis through design to implementation, deployment and maintenance

Desired Skillsets Requirements.

  • Experience with Camera API
  • Experience with video and image codecs, video encoding and transcoding, and multimedia streaming protocols
  • Experience developing mobile apps for iOS, Symbian, Windows Phone and BlackBerry
  • Web development and databases: PHP, ASP, ASP.Net MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Google Analytics, Flurry Analytics, Google Map API, Push Notification, Memory Management, Video playback, GPS. 
  • Facebook SDK, Twitter SDK integration, Apple iAd, Admob SDK, AdWhirl SDK, Millennialmedia SDK

Location               Daresbury Cheshire UK, with some home working.

Hours                    9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday

Start date             Immediate
