The home is a bright, airy and pleasant place to work, and the team of existing staff are friendly and well trained. An individual with a positive attitude and work manner would fit in perfectly.
We are looking for both full and part time workers, and can offer day shifts, night shifts, week day and weekend hours to suit. Typical shifts and rates of pay are:
6am to 10pm - £7.50 per hour
10pm to 6am - £8.25 to £16.50 per hour
Saturday day shift - £8.62 per hour
Sunday day shift - £8.85 per hour
Bank holiday day shift - £15.00
Sleep in shifts - £30.97 to £61.94 per night
Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills, and will have the desire to really make a difference to people's lives. You should be able to work using your own initiative, and as part of a team, and you will need to undertake personal care duties. You should have a caring and sympathetic attitude to the needs of vulnerable adults with various physical and learning disabilities, and have the ability to assist clients in daily living.
Ideally candidates will possess:
Basic Level of Education
Strong communication skills
The ability to uphold confidential and sensitive personal information
The ability to work on their own initiative and/or as part of a team
Must be willing to undertake basic training as appropriate
NVQ level 2 or 3or relevant equivalent work or training experience
Presentable appearance
Previous training including or experience including moving and handling course, Basic food hygiene course or first aid course would be an advantage
