We are currently looking for an Administrator/Audio Typist to work for our client in their Defendant Fraud Department based in the Chelmsford Office.

This position will involve providing a full administration and typing service to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Defendant Fraud department.

We are looking for someone who has :

Proven and recent administration experience - Minimum 1 year, preferably in a Law Firm. Essential

Proven recent Legal Audio Typing experience (1 years + ). Essential.

Excellent Audio typing skills, using digital dictation

Experience of using a case management system

The ability to use their initiative and can use a high degree of self-management

The ability to work under pressure and produce a high, accurate output of work

Experience of communicating with Clients

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Confident and proficient in direct outbound/inbound telephone communication with clients and other parties.

Excellent organisation skills and the ability to work to deadlines and manage workload effectively

The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

The main duties of this role are:

  • To provide direct administration and secretarial support to a fee earner/s based in the Chelmsford office.
  • To prepare accurate correspondence and documents through audio typing and word processing.
  • To arrange appointments and meetings and to maintain an up to date diary.
  • Deal with clients both in person and on the telephone and to provide such support in a professional and friendly manner.
  • To administer filing which may include the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files.
  • To undertake any administration duties as requested, such as, filing, opening and sorting of mail, photocopying, faxing etc.
  • To ensure the confidentiality of all firm’s and client’s documentation and information.

The salary bracket for this role is £15,000.00 - £16,000.00pa

Hours of work : Monday-Friday 7 hours per day between 8am - 6pm (dependant on the needs of the business) with an hour for lunch.
