Our client based in Christchurch is looking for an Administration Team Leader to join their extremely busy Admin & Customer Support Team. A multi-million pound business they despatch product to major retailers from their Distribution centre in Christchurch. This role would suit someone used to working in an Administration and Customer Service Management role within a fast moving distribution environment.
Responsibilities include: Leading the Administration Team; Mentoring and developing skills within the team; Processing orders on the Proteus system (Warehouse Management System) this would involve sorting orders by date, despatch, depot and dealing with all administration related to the order; Resolving issues with back stock / stock shortages; High level of communication with clients to update them on orders and despatches; Load planning for despatch of stock; Liasings with the Warehouse, Logistics Team, Hauliers and Senior Management; Working to tight deadlines to ensure stock is delivered on time; Running reports / Stock Manifests - using Excel and Crystals Reports (Strong Excel skills are a must).
Previous management experience is essential as well as a background in manufacturing or distribution of products. You will have accurate administration skills, an excellent telephone manner and experience in dealing with a variety of customers and situations. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, highly professional and have the ability to train and develop team members. You must be able to prioritise your workload and be a good team player within a small team.
Other Key Skills Required: Customer and commercial awareness; Ability to work on own initiative and within a pressurised environment; Flexible and professional approach to all responsibilities; Enthusiastic personality; Computer literate; Common sense; The ability to multi-task is a MUST.
Working hours: Mon to Thurs 8am to 5.15pm, Fri 8am to 1pm.
Flexibility outside of the hours is sometimes required.
