A prestigious Japanese Company is looking for a culturally aware Admin & Receptionist to join their team.
Position: Admin & Receptionist
Salary: From £18K - £20K per year depending on experience.
Job Type: Permanent
- Provide overall assistance to Managers - make arrangements such as car, hotel, restaurant and travel booking
- Keep a daily schedule of all staff and diary of Managers' appointments particularly the General Manager
- Keep stationary stock up to date
- Draft and rewrite letters
- Take charge of office actives such as office outings and parties
- Arrange maintenance of the telephone system, mobile phones, photocopiers, and fax machines
- Answer incoming telephone calls and liaise with the building management, security and reception teams, e.g. arrange security pass for new office staff
- Distribute, circulate and file Japanese, English and European communications, keeping an efficient filing system
- Keep contacts database updated
- Reception duties - inform the main building reception in advance of any visitors
- Reception duties - attend to visitors including refreshments
- Carry out any other general office duties and ad hoc tasks as required
- Eligible to work in the UK without restrictions
- English - Mother tongue level fluency
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Excellent business manners
- Proactive 'can do' attitude
- Japanese cultural awareness / language skills are not essential, but advantageous
- Experience working in Japan or for a Japanese company is desirable
