A role has arisen in our General insurance business for an Actuarial Manager to provide specialist actuarial advice and analysis to allow the business to deliver strategic and tactical objectives.
In this role you will be accountable for the delivery of key pieces of work ensuring that all regulatory requirements are adhered to. Utilising your effective stakeholder management skills, you will build and maintain effective working relationships both internal and external to the department. In this role you will be required to apply technical expertise and innovation in order to generate discussion and provide solutions to queries and problems. As a senior manager within the Actuarial department, you will cascade information, decisions and direction in a positive and effective manner, including difficult communications that may present some challenge.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- In-depth knowledge of actuarial industry with full understanding of the market and economic climate
- Uses big picture knowledge to inform all decision making including prioritisation, analysis and interpretation
- People Management skills including experience of coaching and knowledge of company policies
- Ability to think strategically
- Strong relationship building and ability to adapt style as appropriate to meet stakeholders requirements
- Effective leadership and management capability
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Results Focussed
