Bond Williams Accounting & Finance is recruiting an Actuarial Analyst for a large Bournemouth based insurance business.
The purpose of the role is to perform statistical and actuarial analysis for the purposes of reporting and monitoring product profitability. You would assist with the development of actuarial reporting and monitoring frameworks including reserving, loss ratio reporting, persistency monitoring, embedded value and financial projections.
* Produce analysis and commentary for embedded value reporting
* Perform analysis underlying actuarial reports
* Perform analysis and commentary for financial projections.
* Produce performance analyses by channel/market for review by senior actuaries
* Enhance and maintain regular monitoring and analysis
* Support/develop monthly reserving exercises, review reinsurance arrangement
* Assist with the investigation of the applicability of new statistical models
You will need a degree in a numerical subject (e.g.Statistics, Mathematics) and ideally be part way through the Institute of Actuaries CT exams. In addition, you will need strong knowledge of MS Office especially Excel and experience gained within the insurance sector would be desirable.
