A new and exciting opportunity has arisen within Usay’s Accounts Department for an Accounts Clerk. As one of the leading and most successful Private Medical Insurance Intermediaries, Usay Health Insurance provides advice on whole of market Private Health Insurance products. We are an exciting, dynamic and highly successful organisation based in Gloucestershire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify within the admin system any claw backs and investigating the reasons for these.
  • Dealing with the Insurers commissions department by way of email or telephone.
  • Identify clients from the exception report and reallocate to the correct file or year.
  • Assist with commission chasing and queries relating to underpayment.
  • Assist the internal cancellation team with queries relating to the commissions.
  • Assist with input commission received into our internal admin system confirming this reconciles with the Insurers statement
  • Assist with the automated upload of commission statements.
  • Input invoices into the internal admin system.
  • Collating information as requested.
  • Filing and copying , scanning, emails and sending of letters.
  • Ad hoc duties within the accounts administration section of the business
  • All duties must be completed within given time constraints to ensure the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts can be achieved.

Essential Skills

  • Accuracy with the input of data is key to the success of this position
  • An accountancy qualification is not necessary for this role but a  strong aptitude for numbers is essential.
  • A keen approach to all tasks
  • An ability to work on your own initiative
  • A good understanding of Word, Excel and Outlook would be preferred.

There is potential for the correct candidate to grow within the department and eventually take on a variety of changeling tasks, which would give the employee a firm accounting basis.
