Our client is looking to recruit an Accounts Clerk to  join their team

You will be responsible for assisting the Accounts Manager with all tasks involved in recording and maintaining accurate records of the company’s financial transactions but with primary responsibility for managing the Purchase Ledger.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and log receipt of purchase orders and ensure they are signed in accordance with company practice.
  • Manually match up delivery notes with company purchase orders.
  • Match up suppliers’ invoices with purchase orders.
  • Maintain monthly Purchase Ledger files.
  • Log suppliers’ invoices on the company’s accounts system (currently Pegasus - Opera)
  • Compile a list of suppliers to be paid at the end of each month and to be familiar with the procedures for making these payments by BACS.

This role is a maternity cover and is anticipated to last 12 months. The contract will commence at the end of March.
