There’s never been a better time to join RWE npower’s Finance division. We’re transforming the way we work, and introducing a new Central Accounting function. Dedicated professionals will focus on managing all general ledger activity, reconciliations and control for the UK business. Naturally, we’re only looking for the very best people to join our brand new team. It’s an exciting opportunity to play a part in making sure our new way of working is a real success. 

We’re seeking Accounting Technicians to join us in a range of specialist areas. Working closely with our Assistant Accountants, you’ll deliver an expert accounting technician service. There are opportunities across a diverse range of activities including GL entry, reconciliations, VAT, Intercompany, query management and more. It’s a role with varied responsibilities - from providing reporting, to raising and resolving queries and issues. Reviewing invoices and other correspondence, you’ll enjoy responsibility for determining the appropriate route for processing. We’ll also expect you to be proactive in identifying areas where processes could be improved. 

To join us, you’ll either need to have completed a numeric or business related course at college level, or have some relevant professional experience. Keen to learn and progress, you demonstrate a genuine interest in every aspect of accounting and financial control. Highly numerate, with an inquisitive and challenging mind, you have a conscientious and organised approach to your work. You have a keen eye for accuracy and detail, and you take care to ensure quality. You always follow processes and procedures to ensure efficiency. It’s crucial that you are a team player, but you’ll also need the ability to work productively under your own initiative. Strong verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to excellent customer service, are vital.
