Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join this established and progressive manufacturing company based in Peterlee.

You will not only oversee and supervise the Credit Control Department (3 staff) but also be a support to the Financial Controller.

It is important that you can lead and motivate a team to hit targets. You will be organised and have a methodical approach. You will also have excellent communication skills, be self motivated and show flexibility to the role.

- Oversee the credit control department
- Responsibility for sales, purchase and nominal ledgers
- Control accounts
- Bank reconciliations
- Journals
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Accruals and prepayments
- VAT returns
- Assisting the FC in management accounts production
- Ad-hoc projects as they arise

Our client is flexible in terms of qualification, it is vital however that you have a proven history in a senior finance role to include managing a team.

Ideally you will be immediately available as our client is looking for the candidates to commence this role in the next few weeks.
