Purpose:
The Accountant will coordinate and oversee all activities conducted by Finance Department personnel and act as the liaison between the General Manager and said personnel. The Accountant will be based in Huta's main office in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Duties:
Perform accounting functions as assigned (prepare/maintain project logs, budgets, etc.);
Comply with all regulatory guidance and internal policies and procedures;
Document policies, procedures, and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility;
Prepare monthly management report and accompanying schedules, worksheets, and narratives, including "Budget vs. Actual" variance reports;
Process invoices of suppliers and subcontractors and employee salaries;
Perform and or oversee all banking activities and administer petty cash;
Assist with annual external audit (compile/prepare requested materials); and
Contribute to department and organization special projects, as necessary/assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science in Accounting or equivalent from an accredited University; and
Up to 2 years of progressive accounting experience in and a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Skills:
Strong analytical and accounting skills; excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills;
Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft FRx or similar programs and major accounting software packages for general ledger accounting. Oracle E-Business Suite preferred;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty;
Capacity to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment; and
Facility to work with minimal guidance and to interface with all major functional leaders of the firm.
